Deployment Technician
(LCAT - Hardware Installation Technician – Level I)

GovTact is offering an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level technician that can support hardware/software configurations and deployments at US Department of State locations worldwide. Travel will be up to 25% of the time, with generous per diem provided. Minimum Secret clearance required to be considered.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Perform installation, and support of new Windows based computer systems.
o Install Image and software on laptops and workstation
o Prepare the computers for deployments and support the deployment activities
o Assist with the installation and support of computer systems and peripherals. Coordinates with Management for inventory, hardware orders, equipment movement, and shipping needs.
o Assist in assuring that work products comply with established deliverable guidelines including format and content.
o Assist in the development of documentation based on the customer's processes.
o Travel to customer sites and perform deployment activities to include, site surveys, installs hardware, install software, remove hardware, check hardware for shipment etc.
o Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
o 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making
o Experience in Customer Service
o Requires skill with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Other Requirements:
o Must have active interim Secret clearance or above
o Must be able to travel at least 25%
Physical Requirements:

Pay: $49,500.00 - $54,100.00 per year
