Primary Functions:
This role is responsible for coordinating and scheduling fabrication and warehouse logistics in a timely, efficient and safe manner. This role also provides support to the Logistics Manager.
Working hours: M-F 7 AM-3:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedules drivers, vehicles, trailers and routes to ensure safe and timely deliveries of tools, fabrication materials and equipment to directed locations.
- Maintains a forward-looking schedule that is communicated daily to all drivers and associated field, operations and job team members.
- Coordinates schedule for maintenance, repair and upkeep of all logistics delivery vehicles and rented/leased trailers.
- Coordinates, issues purchase orders and provides bill of lading for third-party delivery service needs, as determined by excess delivery demand.
- Coordinates schedules to ensure assets are current and functional with regards to repairs, maintenance, Big Road, CellControl, Ryder, Penske, etc.
- Performs additional assignments as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics, shipping and receiving environment
- Working knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and electrical projects and related tools and equipment a plus
- Solid data-entry/computer skills and willingness/ability to learn unfamiliar systems
- Ability to communicate effectively; solid customer service skills
- Strong attention to and respect for safety rules and regulations
