Other Conditions: To begin between July 2025 to October 2025; renewable depending on performance and/or funding availability.
Duties and Responsibilities

Participate as a junior faculty assigned to one of the University of Hawai'i (UH) Cancer Center laboratories (60-80% effort).

Support and perform clinical duties within the Oncology group in one of the Hawai'i Healthcare systems (20% effort).

Participation in UH Cancer Center committees, seminars and meetings.

Instructional activities related to graduate students and post-doctoral trainees as appropriate.

Assist with coordination of hematology/oncology immunology-based clinical trials for the Hawai'i Cancer Consortium network.

Pursue collaborative research opportunities in areas where research at UH is especially advantaged and be competitive for national peer-reviewed funding.

Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

M.D. degree or other generally recognized equivalent medical degree from a medical school of recognized standing.

Able to get licensure in Hawai'i .

Board certification or qualification in Oncology.

Demonstrated ability in teaching and patient care when appropriate.

Demonstrated ability to generate independent research reports, publications and clinical trials.

Ability to interact effectively with students and/or assistants when appropriate.
