It’s an exciting time to join our clubs and we are currently seeking a Busser/Server Assistant to join our team at Spanish Hills Club.
Job Summary
Food Expeditors/ Server Assistants arrange the transfer of food from the kitchen line to the serving floor. They ensure each plate is prepared neatly, properly and in accordance with customer specifications, such as well-done or with extra cheese. Expeditors prepare condiments and side dishes for each order, verify product temperatures and alert servers when orders are ready to go. In some establishments, such as bar and grills, they might deliver food to the bar rather than calling on servers.
Job Tasks
- Responsible for helping to maintain the efficiency of a restaurant kitchen by delivering dishes to the table
- Making sure to deliver items to the customer’s table when they are ready.
- Assists waiters and waitresses.
- Keeps up a constant flow of items from the kitchen to the table to the dishwasher.
- Visually checks food quality and presentation before preparing tray/to-go bag for transportation to guest. Periodically confirms food quality and satisfaction based on menu descriptions with chef. Considers servers take on guest feedback from food and communicates them to the line to assure a satisfied guest.
- Assists and supports kitchen and restaurant staff as needed in areas pertaining to food, cleanliness, and communication between the front of house operation to the line.
- Communicates any challenges to Chef and /or Restaurant Managers that pertain to service as well as side-work.
- Assists in providing a safe work environment, assist managers in overseeing cleanliness and sanitation and assist chef with setting up daily specials before communicating them to the staff at pre-shift huddles and throughout shifts.
- Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by The Waterfront Beach Resort from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Qualifications / Skill Requirements
- Ability to stay organized throughout the day to avoid becoming overwhelmed during busy times.
- Must also be able to communicate well with other members of restaurant staff.
- Needs to be coordinated and able to keep track of several different tasks at once.
- It’s important that an expeditor is not afraid to speak up loudly to let coworkers know what needs to be done.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- 21+ years of age
- Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
Compensation
- $16.00/hourly + Tips
- Open Availability is a must.
- Available for AM / PM shifts, Weekends + Holidays
