Position: Business Development Director
- Location: San Antonio, Texas
Core Functions:
1. Market Research and Client Identification:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify potential clients in need of cybersecurity staffing services.
- Stay informed about the industry landscape, current cybersecurity trends, and the specific manpower needs of potential clients.
- Building Relationships:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial cybersecurity operations in San Antonio & Austin.
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers within target organizations.
- Focus on cultivating relationships with Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Chief People Officers (CPOs) in potential customer organizations.
- Utilize networking opportunities at industry events, leverage social media platforms, and arrange meetings to understand client pain points and requirements.
- Understanding Client Needs:
- Conduct thorough assessments of potential clients' current security postures.
- Identify gaps and vulnerabilities in their cybersecurity measures.
- Propose tailored solutions to address these issues and meet their specific workforce development requirements.
- Creating Proposals:
- Develop comprehensive and compelling proposals outlining the proposed solutions and the value they bring to clients.
- Ensure that proposals are customized to address the unique needs and challenges identified during the assessment phase.
- Negotiating Contracts:
- Lead negotiations with clients to secure agreements that align with both their needs and the company's objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure contract terms are feasible and can be effectively implemented.
6. Oversight of Marketing Strategy:
· Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align and integrate business development efforts with the company's overall marketing strategy.
· Provide leadership and guidance in developing marketing campaigns that effectively promote the company's cybersecurity workforce development and staffing services.
· Ensure that marketing materials and messaging align with the identified needs and challenges of potential clients.
· Leverage marketing insights and data to enhance client engagement and lead generation efforts.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
· Provide leadership and direction to the Marketing Manager, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
· Support the professional development of the marketing team to enhance their capabilities in promoting cybersecurity workforce solutions.
· Collaborate with internal team members, including operations, and human resources, to ensure seamless execution of client initiatives.
8. Strategic Planning:
- Work collaboratively with the executive team to develop and implement strategic business development plans.
- Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion within the cybersecurity workforce development and staffing markets
- Metrics and Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development & marketing efforts.
- Provide regular reports on progress, achievements, and challenges to the executive team.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns.
- Analyze marketing data and metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven adjustments as needed.
10. Budget Oversight:
· Manage the business development budget.
· Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and manage the marketing budget.
· Ensure that marketing initiatives are cost-effective and aligned with overall business development objectives.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and changes in cybersecurity regulations.
- Continuously update knowledge to remain a subject matter expert in the field.
- Encourage innovation within the marketing team to explore new strategies and tactics for promoting the company's services.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, where marketing initiatives are refined based on performance and feedback.
12. Representing the Company:
- Act as a representative of the company at industry conferences, events, and client meetings.
- Uphold the company's professional image and values in all interactions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development within the cybersecurity industry.
- Deep relationships within the commercial cybersecurity industry.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity trends and industry dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of workforce development and staffing in the cybersecurity sector.
- Located in or willing to relocate to San Antonio, Texas.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
