As a CPA Certified Public Accountant with expertise in the construction industry, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of our company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payroll processing, proficiency in QuickBooks, and a strong background in company auditing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Analyze cash flow and financial reports to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior accounting staff
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices
Requirements:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial auditing principles
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
