Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist I will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve quality processes, perform inspections, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
Perform routine checks at various stages of the production process to identify and address any deviations from specifications.
Generate/maintain issue FET-Dynacon Data books per customer requirements,
Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality inspections, testing results, and corrective actions taken.
Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing quality metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
Schedule DNV inspections, assist Engineering with DNV certifications (documentation)
Schedule outside source NDE inspections/ co-ordinate with Purchasing for NDE PO’s, and approve timesheets for NDE personnel
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Provide support in the resolution of quality-related challenges by communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the quality assurance and quality control functions.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
Ownership/administration of the quality electronic data management system
Administrative responsibility for NCR and CAPA reporting.
Contribute to the training of team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
Stay abreast of industry trends and updates related to quality assurance and quality control.
Skills/Knowledge
- Good analytical skills.
- Knowledge of specific subsea products.
- Knowledge of testing procedures and specific equipment required to perform quality testing.
- Good verbal and writing skills.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 3+ years experience as Quality Inspector, Technician, or similar position.
