SUMMARY The performance of this function involves interaction with our Customers, Senior Management, Operations, accounting, and Customer Support while ensuring we deliver the highest quality service to our
customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise receiving staff of approximately 2-4 team members.
- Supervise and schedule maintenance of material handling equipment, employ a preventive maintenance program
- Develop and implement SOPs to standardize best practices and continually improve operations.
- Ensure that goods are received and stored in an efficient and economical manner and maintain required records in conformance with company policy and customer agreements.
- Recommend purchases of warehouse equipment; keep abreast of new methods of warehousing.
- Plan and schedule all inventory activities including cycle counting, inventory transactions, auditing, and reporting. Review, monitor and maintain required documents for quality processes.
- Develop and analyze reports, policies, procedures, and methods that improve operational efficiency; communicate results to management in other operational areas.
- Use excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal positively with senior management, sales staff, employees, vendors, and customers.
- Operate within budget and meet delivery times.
- Manage temporary labor as needed.
- Develop, evaluate, retain, and dismiss departmental personnel.
- Proficiently use required technologies including WMS and office software.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
- Verify that forklift/truck operators are within regulatory compliance.
- Resolve any inventory complaint issues quickly and effectively.
- Attend staff meetings and product knowledge seminars as required by management.

COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office word processing software, as well as Cisco phone systems.
