Overview
We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our facility located in Pontiac, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement manufacturing and engineering processes and procedural documents to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production processes
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence
- Provide technical support to production teams
- Assembly line cycle time study.
- Review/update PFMEA, process control plan and work instructions
- Lead VDA and IATF compliance measures.
- Ownership of current & future assembly lines.
- Build samples for new program: Check quantities of parts, track parts, establish build plan, review open issues.
- Conduct training as needed: maintenance technicians, operators and so on.
- Cost saving ideas and implementation.
- Develop, interpret and implement policies and procedures.
- Maintain safety and quality standards per company rules.
- Launch new programs and provide on-site technical support during startup and commissioning of new installations.
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment and mechanical design
- Strong background in Continuous Improvement and Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
- Good understanding on manufacturing and production processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic electrical and knowledge and calibration experience
- Six Sigma Green belt preferred

Pay: From $72,000.00 per year
