LCSW OR LMFT- ASSISTANT PROGRAM DIRECTOR.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Possession of an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major in an applied behavioral science, such as psychology or social work, sociology, child development. Candidate must be licensed, LMFT or LCSW.
Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in child welfare administration and/or child protective services and two years of experience in program management or as the director of a licensed childcare program. Possession of or the ability to secure the administrator’s license as required by the State. Must have managerial experience.
Other: Possession of a valid State driver’s license. Attainment of 21 years of age.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Licensed Assistant Program Director provides support and managerial leadership for all facets of the Foster Care and Transitional Foster Care for Unaccompanied Children (UC) program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Plan, organize, and assign the work of staff and any technical experts and/or consultants.
2. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of recommended procedures and programs.
3. Ensure the program is sufficiently diverse in strengths and capabilities to plan and deliver appropriate services; ensure appropriate advocacy support; assist children and families to gain access to a full array of services; mediate barriers to services within the system; collaborate to redress for gaps in services.
4. Monitor compliance for all operations, including human resource laws and best practices, contractual fidelity, local and Federal laws and regulations governing operations, and fiscal/auditory compliance.
5. Participate in the planning and implementation of the quality improvement processes.
6. Review all licensing and incident reports provided by the administrator and based upon such review; ensure that the agency and its certified family homes thereafter comply with all applicable regulations.
7. Hold regular staff meetings to discuss plans and policies.
8. Organize and carry out a program for staff development and arrange for attendance of staff at social work conferences and other meetings which assist in professional growth and effectiveness.
9. Provide leadership and stimulation in community planning for the children and their families.
10. Supervise any post placement services.
11. Ensure that employee performance evaluations are completed on a timely basis.
