The Role:
Reporting to the Patient Recruitment Program Director, the Marketing Manager, Patient Recruitment Programs, is a pivotal force shaping Ora's ophthalmic clinical trial recruitment initiatives. You will lead the development and execution of data-driven marketing strategies, leveraging your experience in clinical trial recruitment and deep understanding of ophthalmic research to cultivate a robust pipeline of qualified patient participants. This role demands a strong marketer with a proven track record of hands-on success in driving brand awareness, generating leads, and exceeding enrollment targets specifically within the ophthalmic field.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and execute global targeted marketing campaigns tailored to ophthalmic clinical trials, considering patient demographics, trial diversity requirements, treatment pathways, and preferred communication channels.
- Craft comprehensive marketing plans aligned with business goals, setting clear objectives, managing budgets efficiently, and measuring ROI through key performance indicators.
- Implement innovative digital and traditional marketing strategies (social media, search engine marketing, display advertising, print, tv, radio, etc.) and patient outreach programs via ophthalmic clinical practices and patient advocacy groups to optimize enrollment across ophthalmic studies.
- Oversee the development and execution of diverse marketing initiatives, including website optimization, physician outreach, community engagement events, and study materials.
- Leverage data analytics to glean actionable insights, track campaign performance, and continuously refine strategies for optimal patient recruitment effectiveness.
- Partner with external creative agencies to establish and maintain study and condition-specific branding, ensuring all marketing materials and messaging resonate with the appropriate ophthalmic patient audience.
- Build and manage strong relationships with creative and marketing vendors, defining project scope, securing deliverables, and monitoring performance.
- Build, design, and optimize nurture communication streams for net new leads and develop automated campaigns to maintain potential patient interest and increase retention of enrolled patients.
- Segment audiences within HIPPA guidelines leveraging automation and technology to support highly targeted nurturing.
- Build and deploy E-mail campaigns; create, launch, and monitor search and social media campaigns in-house using platform tools as well as oversee similar campaigns through partners.
- Create a trusted partnership with Clinical Operations, Contact Center and the Patient Recruitment Program Director, ensuring seamless integration of marketing strategies with study timelines and patient recruitment needs.
- Partner closely with the Patient Recruitment Program Director, Contact Center, and site operations to ensure all marketing tactics are deployed at the right time and with the right velocity to support optimized recruitment.
- Maintain and communicate campaign strategies, budgets, timelines and lead cross-functional study campaign planning meetings.
- Coordinate between marketing, study team, vendors, procurement, and various other teams to ensure on time launch and successful execution of recruitment campaigns.
- Support Patient Recruitment Program Director by helping to build recruitment plans and tactics and build projections to inform budgeting and track performance vs projections over time.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders, effectively communicating the marketing team's contribution to successful patient enrollment.
- Demonstrates agility in a dynamic environment by navigating competing priorities and operating within budget constraints utilizing creative solutions.
- Manages and executes campaigns for multiple research programs across common sites and indications, demonstrating exceptional flexibility and adaptability in continually changing environment.
- Adhere to all aspects of Ora's quality system.
- Adhere to all essential systems and processes that are required at Ora to maintain compliance to Ora's data integrity & business ethics and regulatory requirements.

What We Look For:
Experience needed for the Role:
- BA/BS in the sciences, marketing, or business; or equivalent education/ relevant experience.
- 5 years of experience in clinical research patient marketing/recruitment, ophthalmology experience preferred.
Additional Skills and Attributes:
- AdWords certification, command of SEO principles, direct management of Facebook advertising platform, search marketing campaigns, etc.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing recruitment outreach strategies that meet or exceed enrollment targets.
- Strong Analytics abilities including advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with marketing analytics tools such as Google Analytics and others.
- Expertise in various patient recruitment methods and channels, including digital marketing, traditional advertising (tv/radio/print), community outreach, and investigator networks.
- Familiarity with GCP and ICH guidelines.
- Experience with patient outreach strategies across numerous ophthalmic disease states.
- Exceptional ability to identify critical issues, define problem solving approaches and lead to successful solutions.
- Self-starter who has the ability to work as a team player as well as work independently.
- Is passionate about ophthalmology and committed to advancing vision health.
