As a Load Planner at Brite Logistics Inc., your primary responsibility will be to efficiently plan and coordinate routes for our drivers, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. You will be a crucial link between our company, and customers, ensuring that we meet our goals and maintain strong relationships with clients. This role requires a combination of logistics expertise, negotiation skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Route Planning: Efficiently plan truck routes to optimize delivery schedules, minimize empty miles, and reduce fuel costs, adhering to Brite Logistics Inc.'s standards.
Load Optimization: Identify the most efficient and profitable loads for our drivers, taking into consideration factors such as load capacity, weight restrictions, and delivery deadlines, aligning with Brite Logistics Inc.'s priorities.
Price Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates with shippers, Brokers and customers to secure the best possible pricing while maintaining profitability for Brite Logistics Inc.
Sales Calls: Actively make sales calls to shippers and potential new customers to expand our network, increase business opportunities, and secure dedicated and contracted freight for Brite Logistics Inc.
Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, understanding their unique needs, and ensuring their satisfaction with Brite Logistics Inc.'s services.
Compliance: Ensure that all loads are compliant with federal regulations, including weight limits, HOS (Hours of Service) rules, and safety guidelines, in line with Brite Logistics Inc.'s compliance standards.
Performance Tracking: Address any issues or deviations from the plan promptly, consistent with Brite Logistics Inc.'s quality standards.
Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the transportation process, finding solutions to keep Brite Logistics Inc.'s operations running smoothly.
Metrics and Expectations:
- Work towards achieving Brite Logistics Inc.'s operational and financial goals.
- Complete assigned tasks before the deadline.
- Respond to emails promptly.
- Attend all scheduled team meetings.
- Be available on all communication channels and responsive to messages and urgent requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in load planning, routing, and logistics operations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Sales and customer relationship management experience is a plus.

- Carrier/Partner/Agent Websites.
- Logistics TMS.
