The California Conservatory of Music has provided Sunnyvale and Redwood City with quality music education for over ten years! With locations in Sunnyvale and Redwood City, we have grown to a community of over 1200 dedicated students. We are searching for experienced classical guitar teachers with warm and caring personalities. Our great office staff takes care of all administration, we supply the students with performance opportunities and practice challenges that keep them inspired, and we keep our teacher's schedules full!
Guitar students at CCM have won 1st prize in numerous competitions, including the Guitar Foundation of America Youth Junior, Youth Senior, and Ensemble competitions, the Parkening Youth competition, The Boston Guitar Fest, and more. Several guitar students have also been featured on NPR's "From the Top" radio show as well as NPR's Tiny Desk Concert.
Qualifications:
1) Bachelors of Music degree in classical guitar performance, theory, composition, or education.
2) Suzuki, ABRSM, or RCM certification is preferred.
3) Teaching experience working with younger students in private and group settings.
