Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- MUST HAVE ROTOR BALANCE EXPERIENCE
- Capable of Cross Training in the low speed Balancing Department
- Operational speed balancing and testing of turbines, compressors, generators, ect.
- Reviews electronic blue cards for upcoming jobs.
- Perform incoming inspections and document on appropriate forms and blue cards.
- Scope jobs for tooling and fixturing, and develop required sketches and drawings for materials to be ordered.
- Inspect fixturing and update in the electronic files.
- Load rotors into the At-Speed bunker and verify with appropriate check list.
- Balance and test rotors to specifications using required instrumentation.
- Final QC rotors and prepare documentation for turbodocs.
- Have a working knowledge of the At-Speed facility.
- Perform routine maintenance and housekeeping in the At-Speed department.
- Communicate information between shifts on projects within the department.
- Work closely with other Balance Technicians to create a team atmosphere with shared responsibility.
- Use multiple precision measuring tools and obtain accurate, repeatable results:
- Handle precision measuring tools with great care
- Understand correct measuring techniques.
- Work scheduled overtime, off shift or overtime as required
- Maintain professionalism at all times as this position often involves interacting with customer witnesses.
- Use PPE as identified in risk assessments or other related safety documents.
