SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor/Shift Manager will be responsible for coordinating the activities of production and operation workers such as forklift drivers, machine operators, quality auditors, and maintenance personnel. The candidate will oversee the production of injection molding machines, blow mold machines, automation lines, quality recovery, regrind operations, and general shift tasks. As a leader within the company, the person filling the position of Production Supervisor/Shift Manager will be instrumental in continuing our pursuit of a safer, more productive operation and as such will need to be trustworthy, responsible, and willing to learn.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience:
- Requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing/leading personnel in a manufacturing enviroment.
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Prominent level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability needed.
- Attention to detail is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
1. Must be an excellent communicator in speaking, reading, writing, and listening.
2. Must possess computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
3. Experienced computer skills and awareness of web-based marketing and social media.
4. Must be able to interact professionally with all departments within the company, including Safety, Quality, Scheduling and Planning, Maintenance, and Management.
5. Must set an example and strive to uphold company policies and procedures as well as any customer enforced requirements.
6. Must work in a safe orderly manner, following all safety, corporate, quality and contract initiatives/requirements and assure others act accordingly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The safe and productive operations of the assigned shift.
2. Hourly payroll.
3. New employee introduction/training.
4. Organize and schedule resources where needed following a priority list.
5. Oversee process of production.
6. Monitor and reduce cost of supplies used during shift.
7. Delegate jobs, when necessary, to Shift Leads and assistants to continue smooth production.
8. Monitor quality and accuracy of products produced.
9. Reassessing production plan “on-the-fly” when schedule is changed.
10. Strive to provide a safe and clean work environment.
11. Evaluate performance of workers and maintain records of such (PEA’s quarterly and annually).
12. Coordinate the correction of a process issue as determined by Quality auditors.
13. Resolve issues arising in conflicts between co-workers and ensure efficient work continues.
14. Manage employee attendance daily.
15. Plan and support starting up molding machines.
16. Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
