We’re looking for a Copywriter to join Lemonade’s in-house Creative team. If you have a habit of turning everything into an ad, can write witty headlines, and believe you can adopt Lemonade’s tone of voice to convince random people on the internet to click on our ads, then you might be who we’re looking for.
This role will have a hand in everything the Creative team does and is an essential part of bringing stories to life. You will come up with ideas, write scripts, be actively involved in productions, and write the copy for posts to go along with our ads. You will need to be a willing collaborator with our in-house designers, illustrators, copywriters, and videographers. Plus, you’ll need to be comfortable working alone to write headline-driven ads.
Conceptualize surprising and delightful ideas for video and static ads
Write smart and witty copy
Answer briefs from the Product teams to create impactful ads
Bring your ideas to life; you’ll need to be hands-on and love the craft as much as the ideation
Support other members of the creative design team with your copywriting expertise
Use learnings from the Growth teams to create better performing creative work
Help elevate all Lemonade’s advertising communication
3+ years experience at an advertising agency as a copywriter
A shareable portfolio of work that shows your conceptual and writing skills
Experience working on digital (ideally acquisition ads)
An understanding of performance marketings and best practices
Ability to work in an office environment

The starting base range for this position is between $85,000 and $105,000 per year. Base pay is one component of Lemonade's total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.
