The Sr. Manager, Wholesale (WS) Strategy is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing WS strategy for the US /Canada Market. Reporting into the Vice President, Wholesale Strategy, Operations & Tools, you will play a key role in defining and executing key initiatives to optimize the WS portfolio for denim brands. This role will work closely across WS and with cluster partners to identify growth risks and opportunities, present to cluster leadership and ensure key WS initiatives are executed within budget and on time.
About the Job:
Wholesale Account Strategy Support (50%)

Partner with Sales leaders to develop WS account level strategies. Such as give-get opportunities, consumer insights and demand transferability, door level recommendations for top MSAs and strategies around assortment and merchandising, pricing and promotion, and trade terms

Implementation of Wholesale Service Model, in close partnership with internal cluster and global cross-functional teams. This may include customer-facing communications and defining new ways of working

Support WS VPs with account top-to-top meetings (T2T) and WS strategic deliverables including account segmentation framework, 5-year strategic business plan (SBP), annual financial plan (AFP) and quarterly/monthly business reviews (QBR/MBR). Provide thought partnership and synthesized content from multiple stakeholders and deliver rich, polished output

Drive structured and consistent ways of working across the WS business teams including T2T prep/content, Account strategic action plans, Business Reviews and Reporting

Own the cadence and agenda for WS meetings to ensure that they focus on issue resolution and knowledge sharing
US Marketplace Wholesale Workstreams (25%)

Serve as Voice of Wholesale while partnering closely with core team of commercial strategists to develop and drive cluster strategies as directed by Commercial Strategy Lead

Lead top-priority high-visibility WS projects by coordinating cross-functional teams during the diagnosis/evaluation, design/implementation, planning, and execution phases

Engage with the Market Insights and WS Analytics teams, draw appropriate insights and make recommendations to help inform channel strategies

Prepare ad hoc competitor snapshots and develop POVs and memos related to competitor strategies
Value Brand Strategy Support for Levi Strauss Signature (25%)

Work collaboratively with Levi Strauss Signature leaders to define role of Signature in LS&Co.’s portfolio, addressable market and channel strategies. Work to include sizing opportunities, consumer and competitive research, product strategies and operational frameworks.

Own and facilitate pre-season strategy processes with matrix team. Includes owning hindsight and briefing processes, facilitating strategy sessions with merchandising, design, and brand marketing. Drives bias for efficient and effective use of resources.

Create content for Levi Strauss Signature seasonal kick-off milestones in support of Cross-Matrix Leaders ensuring cohesive messaging and look/feel.
About You:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Finance, or similar; MBA is preferred

5+ years of consulting or corporate strategy roles, ideally within Apparel or Retail sector
-
Proven track record driving multiple streams of work (creative brief to full execution)

Understanding of apparel value chain including design/ development, merchandising, sourcing, planning, supply chain, wholesale, retail

Strong project management skills including both project planning and execution
-
Enjoy working with cross-functional partners to synthesize / summarize findings at an executive level
-
Ability to juggle multiple projects and work independently with sense of accountability

Ability to adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals
-
Demonstrated capability to build trust, exercise judgment and communicate on behalf of commercial leaders

Dynamic analytical, problem solving and project management abilities with proven systems knowledge and expertise

Flexibility with regards to job responsibilities

Expert knowledge and proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook

Extremely strong customer service orientation and the ability to multi-task; with the desire to work in a very fast paced environment and an ability to not become frustrated with last minute changes

Effective interpersonal and organizational skills; especially when it comes to working directly with senior level directors/VPs

Strong team orientation

Demonstrated ability to learn new computer programs quickly

The expected starting salary range for this role is $116,300 - $175,900. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
