Title: Regional Business Office Manager/Tax Credit Specialist
Direct Report: VP Revenue Cycle
Indirect report: VP Operations, Facility Executive Directors, CFO
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Ensures all new admissions to SLF and Tax Credit buildings have been reviewed for Medicaid and LIHTC/HOME financial eligibility. All Medicaid Pending cases shall be approved on the basis that the BOM/RBOM have finalized and made recommendation for admission
Oversee Medicaid applications, redeterminations, appeals within all facilities
Ensures that all eligible SLF residents have continued eligibility through redetermination or readmission.
Ensure residents report correct income as items change and on an annual basis after January 1 of each calendar year and report to AR team.
Ensure that Tax Credit applicable buildings/units are compliant in respect to the AMI of each unit/building
Monthly (minimum) reporting to Corporate Office to review Pending cases, Collection issues, etc.
Oversee BOM monthly process for PAP logs to corporate office
Oversees BOM and the Move-In process including ensuring move-in checklist items are completed and uploaded into PCC documents, including, but not limited to signed and dated contracts, financial forms, background checks, etc.
Ensure full Tax Credit (LIHTC/HOME) compliance in respect to file completion, accuracy, timeliness and order.
Ensure BOM is complying with HFS SLF rules for DON, new admission contracts for 30 day LOA’s, Age requirements, etc
Oversee BOM to ensure timely and accurate deposits
Works directly/indirectly with all residents, family and employees to ensure collection of documentation for Medicaid applications and retention (financial docs, DON/OBRA, assets, etc.)
Ensures that all facility BOM’s are collecting all monies due from private pay portion of rents and services on a timely basis
Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with Federal and state regulations including HFS, DHS, LIHTC, HOME, IHDA
