We are located on the Northwest side of Chicago (Jefferson Park neighborhood of Chicago). Our address is 5645 N. Milwaukee Ave, Chicago, IL 60646. Our center serves children from 15 months to 6 years of age.

Job Description - Lead Teacher
Early childhood teachers are responsible for providing quality care to the children and creating positive climates inside the classrooms. Teachers will plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for their specific age group. Teachers will support the whole child and provide opportunities for children to learn cognitively, physically, socially, and emotionally. Teachers will have these characteristics and skills: respect for everyone, good communication, patience, good standing health, use of positive guidance practices and positive interactions with children, and adherence to state laws and center policies. Early childhood teachers will have full responsibility of their groups and their early childhood teacher assistants.
Qualifications
Early childhood lead teachers must have:
- Sixty semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester hours in courses related to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six;
_ Or _
- One year (1560 clock hours) of child development experience in a kindergarten or licensed day care center and 30 semester hours of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester in courses related to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six.
_Or_
- Completion of a credentialing program approved by the Department (CDA)
