Job Summary:
GFA Staffing is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure smooth operations. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Duties:
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal teams and external vendors
- Demonstrate leadership skills when coordinating maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field
- Proficiency in using an ohmmeter for electrical testing
- Ability to fabricate and weld components for repairs
- Strong mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix equipment issues
- Familiarity with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
