Student Disability Services (SDS) serves, supports, and empowers UCSF students with disabilities by ensuring equitable access to fully and holistically participate in all areas of the university experience. The Student Disability Coordinator at UCSF plays a pivotal role in ensuring equal access to educational opportunities for students with disabilities.
Reporting to the Co-Director of Student Disability Services, this position is responsible for coordinating and delivering support services to enrolled students with disabilities. These services encompass a range of accommodations, including but not limited to exam accommodations, note-takers, sign language interpreters, real-time captioners, mobility assistants, and accessible classroom seating. The Student Disability Coordinator ensures that these accommodations are provided in accordance with the interactive process conducted by SDS specialists.
The Student Disabilities Coordinator must maintain working knowledge of Section 504 and Section 508 amendment of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) OF 1990, the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008, and other applicable laws, current statutes, litigation and best practices pertaining to the provision of services to graduate students with disabilities.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $55,700 - $118,500 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
1 year of directly related experience
Experience in higher education setting
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; (Mac and PC)
Working knowledge of individual school exam requirements and procedures
Organized and advance preparation
Communicate effectively with students, staff, and faculty during high pressure situations Required
Work independently as a team member
Meet schedules and deadlines
Train and provide leadership and guidance to proctors
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic and disability issues
