You'll be ensuring the safety of our community by transporting vehicles to various locations and overseeing their cleanliness and maintenance.
WORK EXPERIENCES:
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and be in good health.
EDUCATION:
Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Driving and maintaining mobile testing vehicles.
· Driving safely to and from destinations throughout New York City, also picking up and dropping off vehicles at pre-determined destinations.
· Must pass and complete BAC driver safety course.
· Manages the maintenance and cleanliness of the BAC vehicles.
· Oversees maintenance of Mobile Testing Units. This includes but it is not limited to the following.
- Determines condition of agency vehicle(s) by inspection before and after each use. Maintain daily inspection reports before and after vehicle use.
- Responsible for maintaining service schedules for all BAC vehicles and determining condition of BAC vehicles by inspection before and after use.
- Ensure the vehicle is filled with all appropriate daily supplies, such as toiletries, paper towels, sanitizer, water, gas, etc.
- Assess and determine the condition of all equipment and machinery and reports to the Director of Operations on any items that require repairs or replacement.
- Responsible for cleaning Mobile units, such as cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms thoroughly. Also, perform daily cleaning activities such “high-touched” surfaces such as counters, tabletops, doorknobs, handles, bathroom fixtures, toilets, etc. to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Processes maintenance request form for all maintenance and repair issues.
- Perform other relevant maintenance and cleaning duties as necessary.
· Continually Monitor vehicles at testing events to ensure peak performance of vehicle.
· Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
· Conduct Fire drills on the Mobile units monthly.
· Maintain a clean driving record and adhere strictly to all policies and procedures required by BAC.
· Perform other related duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-starter, able to identify and complete tasks without direct instruction
- Good reasoning and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
- Proficiency in performing repairs, changing locks, etc.
- Ability to regularly lift 80 pounds
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Ability to read, write, understand and follow directions
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
