Job description
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Low Voltage Security Installer will be responsible for the design, installation, and configuration of security systems sold through Basic ITS.
- Assess client needs during initial site assessments
- Work with sales to accurately spec required OEM hardware
- Identify supplies and labor required to successfully complete installation
- Create Scope of Work for installations
- Provide quote for installation and Scope of Work to Sales Team to include in proposals
- Coordinate and engage with subcontractors, as necessary
- Assist with Security Systems installations including cabling, mounting of hardware, and all other requirements as necessary
- Work with Operations Manager to organize and obtain supplies, vehicles, technicians, and subcontractors to successfully complete installation
- Configure and commission equipment in the video management system
- Serve as the point of contact for clients while on site
- Maintain orderly work site and ensure proper safety practices and protocols are being followed by all technicians while on site
- Work with technicians to ensure proper camera placement and direction
- Ensure all security equipment is functional and operational
- Provide high level training to clients upon job completion and ensure all job completion paperwork is complete
- Pursue and complete ongoing education related to security systems, compliance, and any other topic related to installation and security hardware.
- Other duties and cross training as assigned
The duties and requirements of the Low Voltage Security Installer include, but are not limited to:
This role requires some travel and has the potential to require overnight stay. All travel will be communicated and planned as far in advance as possible. This role requires the technician to utilize a lift, ladder, and power tools to properly mount security hardware, pull cable, and run conduit. This role requires the technician to be able to lift up to 50lb and stand for extended periods of time.

- Cabling: 3 years (Preferred)
- Low Voltage: 3 years (Preferred)
- Camera Installation: 3 years (Preferred)
