Role Summary:
The Surveillance Assembly Technician I is responsible for the assembly and maintenance task related to the Solar Surveillance product line. This role will be responsible for following mechanical and electrical procedures for new builds and maintenance of existing fleet.
Role Priorities / Responsibilities:
- Follow established safety policies and procedures and, when required, wear appropriate safety equipment.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure quality products by following approved assembly procedures.
- Install and test all electronic components for each product.
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings to understand schedule and build priorities.
- Provide feedback on existing procedures for improvement where needed.
- Complete commissioning procedures to ensure equipment is rent ready.
- Assist with keeping accurate inventory count of shop items.
- Sweep, mop, and remove debris/maintain a clean the production area.
- Load and unload items from machines, dollies, trailers, and containers.
- Complete maintenance tasks that include replacing mechanical components on equipment, installing new/retrofit cameras and electronic components, and completing a full system test.
- Pull damaged or ineffective parts or equipment and ensure proper RMA process is completed.
- Mark parts for identification based on specific project.
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with hand tools, powers tools, and test equipment.
- Strong mechanical assembly skills
- Experience troubleshooting low voltage electronic systems. (12/24VDC)
- Experience installing and troubleshooting solar systems preferred.
- Basic understanding of electronics. Specifically, IP cameras and other 12/24V DC systems.
- Ability to be creative and use reasonable judgment to handle changes in assignments, management, and company policies.
- Effective communication skills to work in a team environment, with managers, and coworkers.
- Strong organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
Education or Certification:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 - 2 years of experience in production environment or mechanical assembly.
- Ability to pass background screening and pre-employment drug test.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand and move throughout facility.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds over 20 feet.
- Must be able to push and pull storage bins weighing up to 300 pounds with assistance.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
