Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Description:
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) services are direct therapeutic activities related to the delivery of behavior analysis services as outlined in a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP). The BIP is developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, which is individualized and designed to teach skills that increase an individual’s independence and quality of life. An important aspect of implementing the BIP is the focus on embedding services into the individual’s daily life while engaging and empowering caregivers.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:
- Arrange environment to support client success, per BIP
- Teach skills that promote independence, like communication, coping strategies and functional life skills
- Manage problem behaviors safely, as outlined in the BIP
- Support caregivers in their involvement of BIP implementation
- Collect data on goals and objectives
- Document details of services in a timely and professional manner
- Communicate openly with the treatment team and administrative staff
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Qualifications:
- A high school diploma and be at least 18 years of age
- Completion of Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Credential
- Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Requirements:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician credential
- CPR with Basic Life Skills
- Experience with individuals on the autism spectrum or other developmental disability
- Ability to learn the of use an online electronic health record and data collection system
- Clear level-two background check
- Clear driving record
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the position, including but not limited to sitting, standing, running, frequent movement and floor-play, and/or stamina to respond to long episodes of challenging behavior
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
