As we continue to expand, we are looking for Traveling Fiber Optic Technicians to join our dedicated team.
Position Overview:
As a Traveling Fiber Optic Technician, you will be a key player in our mission to deliver cutting-edge fiber optic solutions for multi-family construction projects nationwide. This role is perfect for a skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about contributing to the growth of a forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance: Execute the installation, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables in accordance with industry standards and project specifications.
- On-Site Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to fiber optic infrastructure during on-site visits, ensuring the highest levels of performance and reliability.
- Travel: Travel regularly to various construction project sites across the United States, collaborating with project teams and ensuring the successful implementation of fiber optic solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of installation activities, troubleshooting procedures, and equipment configurations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of fiber optic solutions into construction projects.
- Per Diem and Expenses: Receive per diem and have travel-related expenses covered to facilitate seamless travel and accommodation during project assignments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Fiber Optic Technician, a focus on multi-famil environments is a plus, but in depth knowledge of Outside Plant operations
- In-depth knowledge of fiber optic technology, cable installation, termination, and testing procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in various locations across the United States.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Adherence to safety standards and best practices.
