Contract (travel) Master Machinist-starting at $42.00/hr
If you are a versatile machinist with at least 10 years of verifiable, continuous experience in the machining industry who can independently, safely, and efficiently perform the below listed skills, Nordic Solutions wants you!
1) Setup and run manual mills, lathes and VTL’s (multiple brands and styles)
2) Perform complex setups, program at the panel, and run multiple brands and styles of CNC mills, lathes, VTLs, Mill-turns, and EDMs utilizing a variety of controllers.
3) Proficient with inspection to complete first article, in-process, and final inspection, via use of various hand inspection tools, including pneumatic micrometers, profilometers, CMMs, Optical comparators/vision and trace systems.
4) Proven programming experience to include:
*Complete print to part programming.
*Subroutines and macros.
*Multiple brands/styles of controllers.
*CAD/CAM systems and at the panel.
5) Educate fellow machinists or operators in best shop practices and methods.
6) Have an excellent working knowledge of GD&T symbols, interpretation and application.

What We Do
Nordic Solutions employs skilled machinists to projects across the United States. We take a project-based approach to solve our clients’ manufacturing shortfalls. Our projects are open-ended, and length will vary from two months to over a year. Our seasoned recruiting team will work with you to understand and verify your skill levels, and area of expertise. What we provide:
- We pay top end wages weekly, starting at $42.00+/hour for Master level machinists.
- Hotel paid for the first week.
- You will be paid $100-$195 per diem daily to cover your hotel, meals, and incidentals. (Amount based on job location)
- Overtime availability based on client’s needs, typically 10-25 hours/week.
- One-time milage reimbursement at $0.67/mile from your zip code to the client’s zip code paid on your first check.
What you provide:
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing production requirements and hot jobs.
- Ability to interpret drawings, diagrams, sketches, and work instructions to produce the desired part.
- Outstanding attendance and job performance for the duration of your contract, usually 6 months +.
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed. Most of our jobs are going to be 2nd, 3rd, and Weekend Shifts. Being open to any of these is required.
- A reliable vehicle to transport yourself to and from job location. Nordic Solutions does not reimburse for rental cars, air fare, or provide group transportation.
