Job Brief: As a Medical Assistant at North Fulton Rheumatology, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient operations within our medical office. This position involves both administrative and clinical tasks, supporting doctors and patients in patient care management, organization, and communication. The goal is to complete activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Interviewing patients and documenting their medical history.
- Organizing and scheduling appointments.
- Updating and filing medical records and insurance reports.
- Assisting during medical examinations.
- Handling receivable and payable accounts and keeping financial records.
- Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms and medical instruments.
Requirements and Skills:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Previous experience in a medical assistant or medical secretary role.
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
