We're looking to expand our team and are currently hiring a kitchen Manager (with great pay opportunities!) to join our fun & creative staff! Salary & benefits will be discussed during interview process. We are looking for a chef that has passion for turning out fresh cuisine & do it in a volume, fast-paced environment.Flights opened it's doors 6 years ago in Burlingame and has enjoyed enormous success ever since and continues to grow (more locations coming soon!) We are currently hiring for the restaurant location, in Burlingame.
The position demands professionalism, excellent culinary skills and equipment knowledge, strong time-management, communication and planning skills, leadership and a genuine spirit of cooperation. The right person also possesses sharp problem-solving skills and takes pleasure in exceeding customer expectations.
We will be scheduling interviews in the order received.
Responsibilities and Duties
- create & develop ideas for menu innovation
- menu design & product ordering and preparation
- maintaining a professional, creative and safe work environment in the kitchen
- hiring, overseeing, coaching, developing, retrain and retaining strong chef's & cooks
- maintain & enforce company policy across all restaruant locations
- responsible & accurate budgeting that delivers on quality, but honors the budget
- purchasing, preparation, disposal and inventory of ingredients
- Effective communication and efficiency in completing tasks
- adhering to local Health Department's regulations
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum 3 years kitchen management experience in a full service restaurant. - High attention to detail.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Must be computer proficient, able to use MS Word and excel, & communicate effectively by phone, email and in person.- Excellent interpersonal skills, focusing on effective listening.- Strong reading, math, and measurement skills- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.- Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds.- Must have ability to stand and move around the operation for long periods of time.- Must be able to work nights and weekends.
