**Job Overview:**
Celebrating its 40th year of providing professional consulting services, Carr Engineering, Inc. is currently looking for a qualified Nurse Consultant to join our talented team at our ten-acre campus in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will provide healthcare consultations by executing medical record reviews and preparing case notes and summations to assist in the overall analysis of how people move and are injured in various scenarios, including motor vehicle collisions, industrial equipment incidents, and consumer product interactions. This role requires a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
**Responsibilities:**
- Organizing, chronologically summarizing, analyzing and indexing medical records and billing records to assist in injury investigations.
- Creating tables, charts, graphs, and medically-focused graphics and illustrations to explain medical findings and timelines.
- Identifying patient-specific medical conditions, treatments, and predispositions that may impact injury mechanisms and injury potential.
- Preparing case presentations and written summations, slides, spreadsheets, charts, and graphical depictions of injuries and medical conditions.
- Performing injury severity scoring utilizing the Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS).
**Skills:**
- Registered nurse (RN) certification
- Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Self-starter who thrives in a small-team environment with minimum of supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong knowledge of medical records and documentation

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
