Your Job Purpose:
The Strategic Deployment Commissioning Services Cx Engineer for the Mechanical discipline will deploy to targeted strategic projects and report to the LotusWorks Senior Operations Managers.
Your Job Description:
- Support of LotusWorks multiple commissioning support services contracts with the following responsibilities and activities when deployed:
- Enact the LotusWorks safety culture on associated projects or contracted sites is delivered with EHS support.
- Ensure the delivery of the site(s) specific commissioning contract requirements.
- Ensure LotusWorks quality requirements are established, monitored, and maintained.
- Ensuring project resource planning is correctly applied to meet contract requirements.
- Conduct site audits for contractual compliance and quality in delivery.
- Maintain and nurture client relationships and team performance feedback.
- Support the recruitment process for expanding teams and the internal transfer of existing employees.
- Support the LotusWorks continuous improvement program and initiatives.
- Participate in project safety programs & initiatives.
- Remain updated with the latest industry practices, safety standards, and technologies to share and best advise contracted teams.
- Provide data driven updates to LotusWorks executives on project delivery and operations on a recurring basis.
- Support collaboration and efficient day-to-day operations with other senior LotusWorks operating teams e.g. EHS, Quality, Commercial, HR, Marketing and Site Managers.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to travel to sites at short notice to ensure operational issues can be mitigated or resolved when required.
- Ability to travel to new sites to support new & existing contract requirements for set periods to ensure new client relationships are established or maintained ensuring the best possible foundation for long term success.
- Ability to support multiple deployments in a given year.
- Ability to train and mentor prospective Cx engineers and technicians in subject matter and quality in the delivery while deployed.
- Ability to support the development of subject matter for training modules.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a mechanical commissioning position preferably in advanced manufacturing sector or industrial environment
- Knowledge & experience in EHS and quality programs and standards
- Knowledge and project experience of commissioning advanced manufacturing support systems such as:
- Chilled water
- Condenser water
- Heating water and heat recovery
- Process mechanical and abatement systems, scrubbed exhaust.
- Process mechanical systems, process cooling, process waste collection & treatment.
- Cleanroom Makeup Air Handling Systems
- Compressed air
- Process vacuum.
- Knowledge & experience in the development of functional & performance test scripts
- Knowledge & experience in the testing of equipment & systems safety interlocks and shutdown sequences
- Knowledge & experience in executing field walkdowns and quality inspections & reporting of
- issues.
- Knowledge of controls systems and sequences of operation
- Knowledge & training in NFPA 70E
- Knowledge & experience in the development of data driven reports e.g. Power BI, Smartsheet a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge & experience in the development RFPs and commercial aspects of projects a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge & experience in the scheduling of day-to-day commissioning activities with Cx technicians a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings & specs, submittals, and technical documents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
- Proficiency in the use of software relevant to the commissioning process.
- Proficient in providing solutions to project / schedule roadblocks.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects or contracts concurrently.
- Team player with leadership abilities.
- A strong commitment to safety, sustainability, and quality.
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Facilities management, mechanical trades certification or related equivalent
- BCxP, ACP or CCP certifications have distinct advantages.
- OSHA 10
- OSHA 30 a distinct advantage
