We are seeking qualified HVAC service technicians to work on high-end homes with complicated systems in the Aspen/Roaring Fork Valley. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years’ experience in HVAC service and repair. Hydronic experience a plus. Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills required. Excellent customer service, strong work ethic and attention to detail a must. A clean driving record, basic computer skills, a positive attitude and professional demeanor also required.
We offer relocation assistance! Hired individuals that live outside of the Roaring Fork Valley will have the opportunity to receive reimbursement of relocation expenses.

Job Description:
Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance tasks to optimize HVAC system performance and prevent breakdowns. This includes inspecting and cleaning system components, replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, testing controls, and identifying and addressing potential issues.
Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving problems with HVAC systems, such as malfunctioning equipment, airflow issues, refrigerant leaks, electrical failures, or thermostat malfunctions. Repairing or replacing faulty components, testing system functionality, and restoring proper operation.
System Upgrades and Retrofits: Upgrading or retrofitting existing HVAC systems to improve energy efficiency, upgrade equipment, or meet changing requirements. This may involve replacing outdated components, modifying ductwork, integrating new technologies, or enhancing system controls.
Refrigerant Handling: Properly handling refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations. Ensuring the safe recovery, recycling, or disposal of refrigerants and adhering to established procedures for refrigerant charging and leak detection.
Electrical Work: Performing electrical tasks related to HVAC systems, such as connecting wiring, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring proper voltage, grounding, and circuit protection.
Control Systems: Installing, programming, and troubleshooting HVAC control systems, such as thermostats, sensors, timers, and building automation systems. Calibrating controls for optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Customer Service: Interacting with clients professionally, answering questions, explaining system operation and maintenance procedures, and providing recommendations for energy-saving practices and system upgrades. Ensuring customer satisfaction through clear communication and responsive service.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including equipment specifications, repairs, maintenance tasks, and customer interactions. Generating reports, service tickets, and recommendations for clients and supervisors.
10. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following lockout/tagout procedures, and identifying potential hazards to prevent accidents or injuries.
Skills and Qualifications:
- HVAC training or certification from a recognized institution
- Strong knowledge of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
- Familiarity with electrical and refrigeration principles
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using HVAC tools and equipment
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments (e.g., confined spaces, heights)
- Valid driver's license (may be required for on-site visits)
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g., EPA 608 certification, HVAC contractor license) may be required based on local regulations.
