Summary:
- The main function of a logistics planning analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule.
- A typical planning analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, cost, etc.

Job Responsibilities:
- Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformation to standards and specifications.
- Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
- Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
- Ability to accurately document and record customer/client information.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-4 years related experience required.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Serves organization functioning as order fulfillment specialist, placing machine and/or engine product orders in business order uptake system, SAP.
- Submits invoicing, and subcontractor agreements to dealers, and supports sales organization through sales execution activities.
Typical task breakdown:
- Placing machine or engine orders on factories and managing order portfolios for several contract programs.
Interaction with team:
- Daily interaction with sales, accounting, marketing, logistics, engineering, procurement, and leadership.
Work environment:
- Office environment with virtual meeting platforms.
Education & Experience Required:
- High School, GED, college degree (bachelor's or associate).
Technical Skills:
- Excellent writing, speaking, and listening skills, computer workstation, and software proficiency.
(Desired):
- Knowledge of government invoicing, logistics systems, FARs/DFARSs, SAP, Onesource, and Blue Yonder system familiarity is favorable.
Soft Skills:
- Customer-focused, functions well in a fast-paced team environment, knowledgeable of construction, building, power systems, and engines a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $19.25 - $33.18 per hour
