The Warehouse Team Picker is responsible for selecting and retrieving products from storage locations according to customer orders. Will use hand-held scanners or other inventory management systems to locate items and ensure accuracy of inventory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Read and interpret pick tickets or orders to determine items to be selected and packed

Safely operate material handling equipment such as cherry picker to transport items or packages as needed. Ability to pick items from high shelves.

Responsible for inspecting and maintaining the picker and reporting any issues to supervisors.

Locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves or storage areas using hand-held scanners or other inventory management tools

Inspect items for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisors or quality control personnel

Label packages with shipping information, destination, and other necessary details
-
Keep track of inventory levels and report any discrepancies or shortages to supervisors
-
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency

Follow all safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace

Performs other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no direct reports.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
-
Ability to read and interpret inventory lists, follow directions, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail to meet production and shipping deadlines

Familiarity with inventory management systems and hand-held scanners

Good physical stamina, excellent hand-eye coordination

Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality control

Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members and supervisors

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary

Basic knowledge of material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks (may vary depending on the company)

Ability to lift and move heavy items or packages (typically up to 50 pounds)
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
-
Prior experience in a warehouse or inventory management setting is required
OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled facility in both hot and cold climates

Varying work schedules based on business need are sometimes required

Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time

Ability to carry and lift materials up to 100 lbs.
