As Sr. Data Scientist, you'll focus on Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and General Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). This role is for a defense customer, where you will be working on cutting-edge technology projects that have a direct impact on our national security.

What you'll do:
- Collaborate with the team to define project objectives, set key performance metrics, and establish project approaches.
- Leverage new modeling and machine learning approaches to build products with high value to the customer.
- Conduct data preprocessing and manipulation of structured and unstructured data.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to extract insights and decide on the appropriate techniques and tools to utilize.
- Present information using data visualization techniques to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with customers to implement models and monitor outcomes, ensuring algorithms generate accurate and meaningful results.
- Continually learn and stay informed about the latest advancements in the field to stay ahead of emerging threats.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret clearance
- 5 years of related experience
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably in the defense industry.
- Strong understanding of machine learning models, data manipulation, and statistical analysis tools.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Java.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of NLP libraries such as NLTK and SpaCy
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and ML APIs.
- Experience with generative AI techniques or transformers architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams and customers.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Secret clearance.
- Have an Information Assurance Technical Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8140.01 "Cyberspace Workforce Management"
- Have an ITIL v3 Foundation certification
- Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed technical instructions.
