The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in our retail and restaurant locations. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in electrical work as well as general maintenance skills. This position ensures that all electrical systems operate appropriately and efficiently, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for our staff and customers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, including but not limited to wiring, lighting, and electrical controls.
- Inspects and troubleshoots electrical malfunctions to determine issue and cause.
- Repairs or replaces faulty wiring, fixtures, and other electrical components as appropriate.
- Conducts regular inspections of restaurant/retail equipment and facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Collaborates with managers and staff to ensure timely and efficient resolution of maintenance issues.
- Maintains accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Assists with general maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
- Responds to emergency maintenance requests promptly, efficiently, and effectively.
- Participates in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
- Performs other related duties as necessary and/or assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety codes.
- Proficient in use of hand and power tools related to electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Flexible to handle changing priorities, open/eager to learn, and able to work well under pressure.
Education and Experience
- 10-year TSA criminal background
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in electrical work preferred.
- Valid electrician’s license is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial or restaurant setting.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Position is based at Denver International Airport (DEN).
DEN is a climate-controlled environment and the temperature, volume of noise, and exposure to the public is outside the control of First Meridian Services, Inc. Use of public spaces as provided by the airport will be required when working at DEN.
Position may require occasional weekend or holiday work. Prolonged periods standing and performing manual labor, which may include lifting, climbing, and/or working in confined spaces. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, stretch, and squat.
