CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
Job Summary:
The Construction Superintendent will provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, manpower, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Construction Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling & coordination, managing job cost, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the on-site construction team & subcontractors
- Ensure project completion is achieved in a timely and cost effective manner
- Coordinate and oversee all work on site
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions
- Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite
- Place orders for materials and coordinate deliveries responsible for equipment and materials on site
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent preferred
- Thorough knowledge of means and methods for commercial / institutional construction
- Excellent communication skills – oral and written
- Computer skills – Microsoft office (experience in Pro-Core is a plus)
- Must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk in varying and uneven terrain; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds.
