The Lending Operations Specialist SME serves as part of the Consumer Loan Center team supporting daily operations to ensure delivery of superior member service. The Lending Operations Specialist SME is responsible for the integrity and efficient functioning of the Consumer Loan Center department. Accountable for supporting the Consumer Loan Center team through a variety of means including but not limited to operational issues, procedures, testing, requests for enhancements, system releases, and providing a high degree of knowledge regarding system applications utilized by the lending staff. This team member will be capable of working independently and problem-solving issues that tend to be more diverse. Systems may include the core processing, loan origination system, reporting, and other ancillary systems. The Lending Operations Specialist SME will work directly with end-users to identify opportunities for process improvements, provide support in researching system issues and testing changes or enhancements. The Lending Operations Specialist S M E is also responsible for working with management and training to identify potential issues or process improvements and ensure that employees have the resources, training, and knowledge to allow the credit union to meet is strategic and operational goals. The Lending Operations Specialist SME will analyze current processes and make formal recommendations to management that will increase efficiency and/or reduce risks. The Lending Operations Specialist SME will also perform trend analysis on recurring issues and determine what training is necessary to resolve the issues.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Require 2 yr. Degree in related field or Business Administration or Computer Information System/Science or Equivalent combination of Education and Experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Three (3) years of experience to include the following:

Consumer lending experience or Meridian link LPQ/XA system operations experience.
Prior experience on a project team preferred.
