Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, and help ensure excellent patient care.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays (if certified)
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- Certification in Dental Assisting
- Proficiency in infection control procedures
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Knowledge of dental systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques
