Summary:
The Nurse Manager works in collaboration with the medical director and program coordinators to oversee all matters within the nursing team. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring clients and staff safety, maintaining standards and quality of care, and aligning with IVRS’ goals and mission. Reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Qualifications:
Current RN License issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing. Knowledge of medical aspects of addiction and co-occurring disorders. Proficient charting; valid California Driver’s License and evidence of automobile insurance coverage. Professional appearance and pleasant mannerism. Must pass background check.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee all nursing team matters including team building and management
· Complete intakes on all incoming detox clients with included documentation and coordinates care with all departments
· Communicate with various insurance policies to authorize MAT services (i.e. Vivitrol)
· Maintain absolute accuracy in daily accounting of dispensed medication and inventory
· Assist in the professional growth and development of existing and new nursing staff
· Assign, plan, and direct work within the nursing team
· Communicate and collaborate with pharmacist, physician, and referral source or case managing agency regarding client status reports, changes in treatment plan and lab results, as appropriate.
· Review client assessments and reports from all nurses to ensure adequate documentation and collaboration with clinical staff, physician, pharmacy, and other agencies involved.
· Medical oversight of withdrawal management and residential program in collaboration with the medical director and program coordinator.
· Ensure all shifts are accurately staffed for optimal client care and safety.
· Review and recommend updates on policies and procedures as needed.
· Ensure nursing staff are adhering to quality of care procedures.
· Maintain accurate documentation completed by the nursing staff by auditing client and departmental records.
· Ensure operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability, requesting repairs, maintain inventory and evaluation of new equipment.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and continued education.
· Communicate any significant findings with medical director/program coordinator.
· Inform clients of anticipated symptoms of withdrawal, when applicable.
· Check vital signs of detoxification clients regularly.
· Coordinate transition of clients requiring a higher level of care.
· Administer/read TB skin tests for clients.
· All other duties deemed necessary and appropriate by the CEO.
· Ensure the highest level of service is provided to the people we serve.
· Ensure client anonymity and confidentiality in compliance with federal guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.
· Adhere to staff Codes of Ethics and Conduct.
· Adhere to policies and procedures set forth for agency.
· Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards established by IVRS.
· Stay apprised of current treatment trends and updated federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and standards governing all services provided by IVRS.
· Essential Job Functions:
· Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, calculators and fax machines.
· Must be able to prepare correspondence.
· Must be able to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
· Must be able to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, to follow oral and written instructions.
· Must be able to communicate effectively.

Pay: Up to $102,000.00 per year
