We are an environmental drilling contractor that is growing rapidly, and we need a Project Assistant to help support this growth. Our work consists of drill crews of 2 or 3 people that travel throughout the southeast performing geotechnical and environmental drilling and installing environmental monitoring wells.
The Project Assistant is responsible for supporting the accuracy and timeliness of project work by completing the tasks below:
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project managers for the lifecycle of assigned bids and projects
- Project management: Assist with developing and implementing project plans and schedules
- Documentation: Maintain and update project documentation, files, and databases
- Communication: Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items, communicate project status, updates, and changes, and act as liaison between team members and clients
- Resource management: Ensure resources and materials are available and allocated appropriately and process invoices for assigned jobs
- Progress tracking: Track progress toward milestones and deliverables
- File and/or scan and archive documents for future access
- Partner with administrative team to ensure accounting for projects is accurate
- Create and maintain logs and spreadsheets for active jobs
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of two (2) years project management assistance in construction or similar field required
- Advanced knowledge – minimum of three (3) years – of Microsoft Office
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel – ability to perform advanced formulas, advanced formatting, etc.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed, able to multi-task, and maintain organization
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with different, and sometimes difficult, personality and communication types
- Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
Working Conditions:
