Position Summary:
Under general supervision, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with inventory control, material handling, shipping, and receiving related tasks. A Warehouse Associate holds a key role in keeping the warehouse and production flows in alignment/organized as well as supporting the other warehouse team members as necessary. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and works closely with all departments. Position will have key responsibilities in all areas of the warehouse.
Core Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Overtime required to support plant operations and respond to emergencies at any time.
- Organize stock and maintain inventory on production floor based on production needs. Including stock level verification, kitting, repackaging, system transactions and delivery
- Verification of all incoming materials, supplies, and equipment to the stockroom/all departments

Inventory Control tasks, cycle counting, audits etc

Accurately and efficiently process, and ship orders including shipping transactions
- Transact, ship, receive materials and product in Safran's ERP system (SAP)

Receive all incoming materials including unloading, inventory control while focusing on quality

Assemble/select shipping containers and prepare items for shipping both domestically and internationally

Compare identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.

Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records and reports shortages and discrepancies and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.

Contribute ideas on ways to improve warehousing procedures

Safely operate warehouse equipment such as tier-lift truck, hand held truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work areas

May perform other warehouse activities as needed

Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, Safran Standards and other regulations as well as all company safety rules applicable to job activities

Overtime may be required, based on business needs

High school diploma or equivalent required

Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal instructions and ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform duties described above

Ability to meet deadlines and to concentrate and pay attention to detail

Able to complete work with general guidance on work priority

Operate various material handling equipment - manual and powered

Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with coworkers

Work requires basic understanding of organization and department policies and practices in order to complete tasks accurately and efficiently

Basic word processing skills required, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. SAP experience a plus

Work requires: walking or standing over 50% of the time

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, approximately 20% of a standard work day

Lighting and temperature are adequate.

Eye protection must be worn in manufacturing areas, approximately 50% of a standard work day.

Work is performed in a factory environment. Employee will be exposed to any number of elements (inside and outside), but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
