JOB PURPOSE:
Performs various business-related functions for the University Dining department. Responsible for performing and entering physical inventory counts and food production forecasting data into the electronic inventory and menu management system. Assists with maintaining accurate systems data for recipe and menu development.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two (2) years of experience in a related hospitality, retail, or food service operations role; including at least one (1) years of experience in a fast paced, customer service environment.
MINIMUM LICENSURE REQUIRED:
Current, valid and unrestricted driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Experience within a University Dining setting
Experience in food service
Experience with Eatec or other inventory and/or menu management systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Collects physical inventory count sheets, enters data into the inventory and menu management system (Eatec)
2. Communicates inventory updates with operational staff, coordinates with Campus Services finance department to ensure reporting of accurate food costs
3. Resolves inventory discrepancies under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Dining Administration
4. Conducts weekly and monthly entry of physical inventory counts into approved electronic system
5. Provides additional Eatec data entry support on an as needed basis per the direction of the department leadership
6. Assists with programming and maintenance of ingredient, recipe and production planning in Eatec and menu platform, Nutrislice, to ensure accurate menus are published on website and menu boards in dining halls
7. Coordinates and assists with menu marketing efforts as needed
8. Coordinates and processes supplier and vendor forms and manages distribution and routing to appropriate departments, including Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Operations as directed by manager and/or leadership
9. Generates daily, weekly, monthly reports and distributes to senior department leadership
10. Assists with coordination and planning of IT projects and project management
11. Provides administrative support to the department as needed, to include managing calendars, taking meeting minutes, fielding telephone calls, coordinating travel, and preparing basic reports
