Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing behavioral therapy and patient care to individuals with special needs. Your primary responsibility will be to help patients achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.
Duties
- Provide behavioral therapy and interventions to patients with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, and other developmental disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' progress and document their behavioral changes, medical records, and patient care.
- Collect and maintain accurate data on patient outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Assist with patient's daily living skills, such as dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and strategies to address specific behavioral goals.
- Work with patients to increase their independence and promote positive behaviors.
- Communicate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling patient information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as psychology, special education, or human services.
- Experience working with individuals with special needs, particularly those with autism or intellectual disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and behavioral therapy techniques.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records.
- Ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation.
- Proficiency with data collection and analysis.
- Experience with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation.
- Ability to assist with patients' daily living skills (ADLs).
- Strong patient care skills and a passion for supporting individuals with special needs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
