Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support our financial department by using their drive, passion for accuracy, and experience with QuickBooks to perform various administrative and clerical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day financial transactions
- Accurately perform data entry to update and maintain financial records
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager
- Handle accounts payable & accounts receivable
- Create invoices in a timely manner
- Prepare reports for Finance Manager (Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, AP/AR)
- Process and pay employee reimbursements
- Perform monthly bank reconciliation
- Create monthly billing statements
- Obtain, process, and store receipts, invoices, etc.
- Maintain chart of accounts
- Compliance with legal requirements and GAAP
- Process bank transactions through QuickBooks including proper categorization and job-costing
- Monitor petty cash
- Manage email
- Manage office tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing financial documents
- Operate phone systems for internal and external communication
- Track 1099 contractors and request W-9s as needed
- Remit payroll taxes and B&O taxes
- Provide input for creation and improvement of processes and team challenges
- May be involved in processing payroll
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:

- Experience with QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online preferred)
- Experience with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Self-motivated/driven

- Team-player who also works well independently
- Typing speed ≥40 WPM
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally, both written and verbally
- Display effective time management and prioritization skills
Experience/Education:
- One year previous experience in a finance or administrative role OR Associate's Degree in a related field (required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
