Assistant Project Manager
The Assistant Project Manager position is an integral part of the Project Management team and serves as a liaison to subcontractors, vendors, architects, and clients. The role is an in-office position with regular visits to jobsites. In this role, you will perform tasks delegated to you by the project manager, coordinate with all necessary vendors and service providers. You will need to be highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working independently. There are few traditional requirements for this position, rather, a substantial competency for a fast paced, everchanging work environment in the bustling NYC construction business.
Additional Requirements:
- BA/BS in a relevant field OR equivalent work experience.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and general computer software systems.
- Experience in an office setting
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading, general contracting, construction, etc.
- Good communication skills, personal organization, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities include:
· Preparing contracts and / or Purchase Orders to Subcontractors & Vendors utilizing SAGE software
· Prepare submittals and RFIs. Maintain Submittal logs.
· Communicate with Subcontractors, vendors, and jobsite personnel on project activities.
· Prepare and distribute meeting agendas and minutes.
· Draft Change Orders and RFIs.
· Maintain jobsite files (document management) on a shared drive.
· Code job related invoices to be entered in AP .
· Perform various construction administration and Project Manager assigned tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
