Mechanical Engineer or Designer
A leading MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) firm specializing in providing comprehensive engineering solutions for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, for various construction projects in compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to determine the best mechanical system designs based on project requirements, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall building designs.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to verify system performance, energy consumption, and sustainability.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess the installation and operation of mechanical systems, providing technical support and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements, trends, and regulations in the field of mechanical engineering and implement best practices in project designs.
- Support the preparation of project proposals, technical reports, and presentations as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in an MEP consulting firm or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical system design principles, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) for creating detailed engineering drawings and models.
- Experience with engineering analysis and simulation tools (e.g., CFD, FEA) is desirable.
- Solid understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
