Job Title: Senior Research Analyst
Job Summary:
SaltExchange is searching for a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Research Analyst to join our team committed to driving radical collective action against some of the world’s most pressing challenges, starting with combatting the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in leading impactful research initiatives, unveiling critical insights into both national and local trends, key stakeholders, and emerging patterns. They will leverage advanced research methodologies and data analysis techniques to fuel strategic decision-making and implement high-impact interventions. Responsibilities:
Reporting to our executive team and working closely with our members and partners, the Senior Research Analyst’s responsibilities will include:
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on CSEC, covering trends, methodologies, perpetrators, victims, and legislative developments.
- Lead the design and implementation of research projects, including defining research questions, developing methodologies, and managing data collection and analysis processes.
- Identify, assess, and engage with key stakeholders, organizations, and initiatives involved in combating CSEC nationally and internationally.
- Utilize various data sources, including public records and proprietary datasets, to gather pertinent information and insights.
- Develop and sustain a profound understanding of socio-economic, cultural, and political factors contributing to CSEC and related global social issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into actionable recommendations for advocacy, policy, and programmatic interventions.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and technological advancements in research methodologies, data analysis, and anti-trafficking efforts.
- Produce high-quality reports, briefs, presentations, and other communication materials to disseminate research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with special projects as necessary.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data collection, retrieval, analysis, and reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in diverse research methodologies, encompassing quantitative and qualitative methods for decision-making insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like R, Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical aptitude to assess complex information from various sources and synthesize actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
- Experience collaborating in multi-disciplinary teams with stakeholders from various backgrounds and perspectives.
- Passion for social justice and a commitment to positively impacting vulnerable populations.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
