Job Summary:
Job responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of all plant machinery and equipment. Examples include CNC lathes, vertical mills, grinders (Mazak, Fanuc), hydraulic presses, parts washers, air compressors, dryers, shop lighting, light plumbing/HVAC (belts and filters), and electric motor process equipment (coil winders, inserters, formers).
Essential Job Functions:
- Performing predictive and preventive maintenance work, troubleshooting and machine repairs on various production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repairs include, but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals, electrical schematics, outline drawings, diagrams, sketches, and engineering specifications to perform required maintenance and service.
- Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
- Oversee general facility and building maintenance.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with hand/power tools and maintenance practices (welding is a plus).
- Ability and willingness to learn new equipment operation, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Determine materials and/or parts needed for service / repair of equipment.
- Provides own general mechanics tools and toolbox.
- Helps organize and maintain maintenance areas. (good housekeeping practices)
- Experience with forklift operation.
- Good computer skills and efficiently use email, Microsoft Teams, Preventive maintenance software, company enterprise resource planning software.
- Safety conscious and observes all safety practices and rules such as PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, electrical code safe practices, confined space entry programs, SDS, and more.
- Ability to work as part of a Team and individually while exhibiting positive teamwork
- Self-motivated detail–oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Accepts other duties/changes to position as plant and production needs require.
Ideal candidate profile:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Industrial maintenance job experience: 3-5 years (Required)
- Technical or vocational education (Preferred)
- Maintenane experience on CNC machine tools is essential.
- Good written and verbal communications skills are required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Able to recognize and understand numbers and values, including data entry into database.
- Prior experience with ERP and Maintenance software required.
