Position Summary
This position performs work in support of human resource professionals that requires a good working knowledge of personnel procedures, guides, and precedents. Job tasks may include employee benefits, disciplinary counseling's, and FMLA/ADA. At this level, assistants typically have a range of personal contacts within and outside the organization, in addition to handling employee-sensitive material. Therefore, the Assistant must be tactful, discreet, and articulate. The use of computers may be relied on heavily for organizational and reporting purposes. Advanced experience with office software packages may be needed. This Assistant may perform some clerical work in addition to the above duties. The supervisor will review completed work against stated objectives.
Basic Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Office software packages is required.

Must have attention for detail and the ability to determine data discrepancies

Must have good communication skills to include speaking and writing

Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications:

Have a minimum of 1 years' experience in a HR administrative/support role.
Physical and Mental Requirements and Description:

May be exposed to the elements/loud sounds when walking in and out of maintenance shops

Will require multitasking with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with short deadlines

Will be required to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion

Dynamic office environment with frequent public interaction.
